During law school, he volunteered extensively at the Edmonton Community Legal Centre, a pro bono legal clinic that assists low-income Albertans. He also worked at ECLC as a summer student throughout law school, completed his articles with ECLC’s family law department, and continues to volunteer regularly.

Josh attended the University of Alberta, earning his Juris Doctor in 2025. During law school, he won the 2024 Morrison Family Law Moot and was named Best Oral Advocate. In his third year, he clerked with family law judges at the Alberta Court of Justice.
