Sheila Raffray has a wealth of experience in helping individuals and families navigate the complexity of relationships and overcome obstacles in order to realize their full potential. Sheila’s decade-long background in social work and child welfare led her to a career in family law.
Sheila holds a Bachelor of Elementary Education from the University of Alberta and Bachelor of Social Work, with distinction, from the University of Victoria. Sheila worked as a social worker for 10 years before moving into a senior management position at a local non-profit. She received her Juris Doctor, with distinction, from the University of Alberta in 2020 and began a prestigious clerkship with the Provincial Court of Alberta. Upon completion of her clerkship, she will join Bruyer & Mackay LLP as an articling student in April 2021.
Sheila was a volunteer and summer law clerk with the Edmonton Community Legal Centre and a member of the Indigenous Law Students’ Association. Sheila participated in and placed third overall in the inaugural Western Canada Family Law Negotiation Competition Moot. Sheila is a member of the Law Society of Alberta.
